Service and recertification of Hoses

At TESS Denmark, we regularly inspect and recertify our customers' old Hoses.

Inspection and testing of old hoses are done to meet the individual customer's specific quality requirements and standards,
as well as to ensure the function of the hose and prevent downtime.

The intervals between each inspection depend on:

• What the hoses are used for
• How much they are used
• In which environment they are used

Here the individual customer's quality requirements and standards, also play a major role in the planning of future inspections. For some customers, the hose must be tested every two years to meet the customer's quality requirements, while in other cases, tests every five years are acceptable.

WHAT DOES RECERTIFICATION INCLUDE?

• Visual inspection of the hose
• Cleaning of the hose inside
• Pressure test of the hose and couplings
• Updating Certificates

THM ENSURES SYSTEMATIC SERVICE AND MAINTENANCE OG HOSES

An increasing number of customers choose to register their hoses in THM (TESS Hose Management) in order to ensure regular maintenance of their hoses.

The THM system gives you a complete overview of every registered hose - it allows you to plan future inspections and to register all relevant information about each individuel hose:

• Location, position on rig, vessel, ship, platform etc.
• Technical data
• Item number
• Certificates
• Planned service intervals and service history
• Other required/requested information (e.g. drawings)

Inspection and recertification of Hoses are done in our departments all over the world - in Denmark, both in Esbjerg and Frederikshavn.
